A will and testament is a legal document that expresses a person's (testator) wishes as to how their property (estate (law), estate) is to be distributed after their death and as to which person (executor) is to manage the property until its final distribution. For the distribution (devolution) of property not determined by a will, see inheritance and intestacy. Though it has been thought a "will" historically applied only to real property, while "testament" applied only to personal property (thus giving rise to the popular title of the document as "last will and testament"), records show the terms have been used interchangeably. Testament (1983 Film)
''Testament'' is a 1983 American post-apocalyptic drama film co-produced and directed by Lynne Littman and written by John Sacret Young, based on Carol Amen's 1981 short story "The Last Testament". The film tells the story of how a small suburban town near the San Francisco Bay Area slowly falls apart after a nuclear war destroys outside civilization. The cast includes Jane Alexander, William Devane, Leon Ames, Ross Harris, Lukas Haas, Roxana Zal, and in small roles shortly before their rise to stardom, Kevin Costner and Rebecca De Mornay. It was one of the films, along with '' The Day After'' and '' Threads'', that portrayed life after a nuclear war, mostly in response to an increase in hostility between the United States and the Soviet Union. ''Testament'' is the fifth and final studio album by English girl group All Saints. It was released on 27 July 2018 through AS Recordings, the group's independent record label. The album was preceded by the release of the singles " Love Lasts Forever" and " After All". It debuted at number 15 on the UK Albums Chart and received generally favourable reviews from music critics upon release. Background and development Following a hiatus of nearly 10 years, All Saints released their fourth album '' Red Flag'' in April 2016. Testament Records was an American independent record label based in Philadelphia, later Chicago, then Pasadena, California, Pasadena. Founded in 1963 by ''Down Beat'' magazine editor and writer Pete Welding, the label specialized in American roots music, releasing some thirty LPs — mainly blues, but also gospel music, gospel, Country music, country and jazz albums until 1977. The Testament Records label, based in Great Britain, specialises in historical classical music recordings, including previously unreleased broadcast performances by Arturo Toscanini and the NBC Symphony Orchestra and the pianist Solomon. It has also issued DVDs of kinescopes of Toscanini's 10 televised concerts on NBC from 1948 to 1952, adding sound taken from magnetic tape recordings of the broadcasts. Testament is an American thrash metal band from Berkeley, California. Formed in 1983 under the name Legacy, the band's current lineup includes rhythm guitarist Eric Peterson, lead vocalist Chuck Billy, lead guitarist Alex Skolnick, bassist Steve Di Giorgio and drummer Chris Dovas. Testament has experienced many lineup changes over the years, with Peterson being the only remaining original member, though they have since reunited with Skolnick, who left the band from 1992 but rejoined in 2005. Billy has been a member of Testament since 1986, when he replaced original frontman Steve Souza, Steve "Zetro" Souza, who had left to replace Paul Baloff in Exodus (band), Exodus. ''Testament'' is a 1996 video game by Insanity for the Amiga. It is a horror first-person shooter. Plot The game follows a soldier who participates in an expedition to find crypt of the ancient magus Ghuwta. Ghuwta a powerful sorcerer who ruled a strong empire was 4,000 years ago. The player's character gets separated from the expedition and has to escape the haunted land. Gameplay The game has similar gameplay to ''Wolfenstein 3D'' and ''Doom''. There are 16 levels in the game and the player has to find a piece of scroll (the eponymous Testament) in every single level. The piece is usually hidden behind a door and so the player has to find a key first. To fight enemies, players can use four weapons -a basic handgun, a machine-gun, a fireball-gun and a double-gun.
